Mission

Bear Mountain Community Association is a group of individuals who believe that Bear Mountain Golf Resort is one of the most unique golf resorts in Canada. Bear Mountain is situated in the foothills of Mount Finlayson and has awe inspiring views of the south island to Mount Baker and everything that is grand and beautiful in between.

Bear Mountain is the only 36 hole Jack Nicklaus designed property in Canada. The Valley Course and the Mountain Course each has its own unique character and setting, but both offer superb playability in our lush West Coast environment.

Bear Mountain Community Association shares a common vision with the community of Langford, that being a strong desire to preserve, maintain, discover and celebrate a quality of life that exists here that is unique to Vancouver Island and to the Province of BC.

Bear Mountain Community Association recognizes and celebrates the diversity that exists in the Community of Langford. We believe the asset and the brand at Bear Mountain Resort add immense value to the Community of Langford through world class golf, hotel and spa experiences, hiking, tennis, swimming, restaurants, tournaments, cultural events, shops and an incredible inclusive spirit that exists here and touches resident and visitor alike.

However, we are not the only ones who share the desire to preserve Bear Mountain Resort. Community members from the Greater Victoria Area continue to create beautiful memories here, whether by a Sunday afternoon hike, a pool day with the kids, a golf game with out of town visitors, a wedding celebration, a day at the spa, or a quiet dinner at one of our tremendous restaurants. The positive multiplier effect that exists here is substantial, and that desire does not stop in British Columbia. People from all over Canada, North America and the world have created incredible memories here. They are people, just like us, who are looking for a unique experience that enhances their overall quality of life.

It is the goal of Bear Mountain Community Association to work with the community of Langford to preserve this incredible asset and to extend the Bear Mountain Resort brand in a way that will continue to add sustainable value to the resort, the Community of Langford, the Greater Victoria Area and to the Province of BC.
